Celtic star Odsonne Edouard has provided an update on his condition after he was diagnosed with Covid-19. The good news is that the Hoops striker confirmed on his Twitter account that he is feeling ‘fine’.
“Thank you all for your messages of support! I’m fine and I would come back stronger, take care of yourself and your family” Edouard said.
At the moment it is unclear when Edouard will be able to play for the Hoops again due to the self-isolation period. We don’t yet know if he will play Rangers a week on Saturday, for example.

However, the good news is that the player’s health seems to be in the main unaffected by the diagnosis. That is what we all wanted to hear. Hopefully that means that Edouard can return to the Celtic line-up as soon as he has recovered.
The player’s health comes first
There are a lot of big games coming up, and Celtic will want their talisman available for those fixtures. Naturally Edouard’s health comes first. However, now that he has confirmed that he is feeling on the mend, Celtic can plan for the player’s return sooner rather than later.
News of the player’s update on his condition quickly brought responses from some Celtic fans on social media. One fan called for the player to get back fit as soon as possible, but in time for the game against Rangers.

Another told Edouard that he would ‘smash’ the virus. Celtic will be taking all the precautions that they can with Edouard.
The Hoops will no doubt make sure that the player is 100% before he can even be considered for selection for the first-team again. However, it would still be a bonus if Edouard returns to the side in time for the game against Rangers.
Positive update is what every fan wanted to hear
Most importantly though, he seems to be in good health, and that is what every Celtic fan wanted to hear.

In other news, Jonathan Afolabi’s competitive Dundee debut was postponed.
