Celtic’s Europa League campaign kicks off on the 27th of September.
Brendan Rodgers will see his Celtic side face the likes of Roma, Feyenoord and Bologna when the tournament kicks off on the 27th of this month.
With Celtic’s Europa League package seeing fans being charged around £35 per ticket, will that price be worth it should Rodgers manage to get the team out of the league phase and, dare we suggest, to the final of the competition?
Worldwide stats site Opta have shared how they believe Celtic’s Europa League campaign is set to go this season and has even delivered a prediction on the chances of Rodgers taking his team to the final at Istanbul.

Will Celtic progress from the 2025/26 Europa League group phase?
Opta have published their big predictions on who will qualify from the Europa League group phase as well as the clubs with the best chance of reaching the final.
Here is how the stat site’s supercomputer sees Celtic faring in the competition:
- xPoints: 11
- % chance of finishing 1st: 1%
- % chance of reaching top 8: 17.8%
- % chance of reaching play-off: 52.8%
- % chance of being eliminated: 29.3%
So it seems that Opta give Celtic a very real chance of not only getting out of the league phase, but also of qualifying automatically.
So what about reaching the Holy Grail of the final?
Can Celtic reach the 2025/26 Europa League final in Istanbul?
Opta have also released their prediction on who will not only make it out of the group phase, but also make it all the way to the final.
Here is how Celtic are predicted to fare:
- % chance of reaching the quarter-final: 23.4%
- % chance of reaching the semi-final: 10.3%
- % chance of getting to the Istanbul final: 4.1%
- % chance of winning the Europa League: 1.8%
Whilst not many fans will believe Celtic can win the competition, it is worth bearing in mind that last season, Bodo/Glimt made it all the way to the semi-final stage so a good run in the Europa League is not beyond Celtic.
