Celtic released their pricing for this season’s Europa League package and it’s already causing much discussion amongst the fans.

The Europa League sees the Bhoys facing Braga, Sturm Graz, Roma and Utrecht, and Celtic’s pricing of the four-game package has caused a lot of debate.

An adult package will set Celtic supporters back £140 which works out at £35 per game with concessions set at £100 (£28 per match) and U13s are expected to pay £100 (£25 per match).

With the disappointment of Celtic losing out on the Champions League still raw with fans, here are some things fans might not know about this season’s Europa League pricing structure.

How Celtic’s Europa League package compares to 2021

The last time Celtic competed in the Europa League was in 2021 when Ange Postecoglou was in charge.

At that point, fans were charged for an adult three-game package costing £72 which works out at £24 per game.

Concessions were set at £57 (£19 per game) with U13s charged £42 (£14 per game).

With a 45.71% increase on the adult ticket, many supporters feel this price hike is too much, with others believing the pricing is fair.

Celtic’s Europa League pricing compared to Rangers and what away fans will pay

Whilst fans may have an issue with Celtic’s pricing for the Europa League package, Rangers fans will pay through the nose.

The Ibrox club introduced a tiered pricing structure where games can cost Rangers fans between £42 and £47 per game depending on where they sit in the stadium, with some tickets priced at over £50 per game.

As for away supporters, they will not be charged any more than £34.59 per ticket due to UEFA introducing a price cap for all three of their European competitions last season.

With Celtic’s Europa League campaign kicking off on the 27th of September, it will be interesting to see if Parkhead will be a sell-out with fan unrest at the board still bubbling over.
