Celtic youngster Owen Moffat has been reflecting on a whirlwind season under Ange Postecoglou and Tommy McIntyre as he eyes a bright future at the club.
Included in senior pre-season matches, Moffat has also been heavily involved with the Celtic B project this season, helping them to a current second-place position in the Scottish Lowland Football League table.
His form for the youth side and injuries to Postecoglou’s squad even resulted in Moffat getting a few opportunities in the first-team late last year, including a start in the Scottish Premiership and dream appearance in a winning Hampden cup final.

Speaking to Celtic TV over the weekend, the young attacker said: “It’s been brilliant! You just have to take everything in your stride. If someone told me at the start of the season I would have made three appearances for Celtic I wouldn’t have believed them. I’ve been ready for my chance and I feel like I took it at the time, so it’s been really.
“Pre-season was my first ever opportunity with the first-team. I remember on the day I didn’t even think I’d play. I really enjoyed it that day.
“I’ve been at Celtic since under 8s – it’s what I’ve dreamed of. I was a season ticket holder, ball boy, it’s a dream come true.
“The coaches are always reiterating you have to be ready to take your opportunity when it comes. I’m with the B team now but when I get called up to the first-team I have to be ready.”
Moffat has been in scoring form for the B team of late, hitting a long-range drive to come from behind and beat Gala Fairydean just last week.
He’s caught the eye of supporters all season and this summer seems like another prime opportunity for him to try and force his way into Postecoglou’s long-term plans.
We’ll definitely be rooting for him.
