Peter Grant knows exactly where Brendan Rodgers should play winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha.
Celtic’s £5m summer signing from Royal Antwerp hasn’t exactly lit Parkhead up with his performances so far, which has been disappointing.
The Hoops had been linked with him for over a year, so it’s clear Rodgers is a fan of the Belgian. However, Balikwisha needs to up his game.
Grant watched Balikwisha in his last appearance for Celtic in the 3-2 win over Motherwell, coming on as a substitute late in the game and making a crucial impact.

Grant identifies Balikwisha’s best position for Celtic
His assist delivered Daizen Maeda’s last-gasp winner and it came from the left wing, which Grant has heard ‘through the grapevine’ is where Balikwisha feels most comfortable.
Grant told The Go Radio Football Show: “I looked at Balikwisha against Motherwell and I thought there’s maybe his position, and I’ve heard that through the grapevine that he feels that’s his best area of the pitch, the left-hand side.
“But I think Tounekti has been excellent so far, and I just feel if he’s fit, I would definitely play Tounekti even though Balikwisha came on and really impressed in that 10-15 minute spell.
“And it just looked as if that was his better position because even when he went on the outside, he faced the defenders up and took them on.
“But when he’s played on the right-hand side, every time he’s received the ball, he’s either passed it to Callum McGregor or passed it back to the full-back.”
