You may have noticed a special display in the ‘North Curve’ section of Celtic Park today as the teams entered the pitch.

It wasn’t strictly in celebration of the Bhoys but the culmination of a week-long campaign of action to raise awareness of mental health issues.

The tifo was designed by North Curve Celtic members who collaborated to get across what mental health means to them.

It coincided with a massive 30,000 leaflets being distributed on seats at the stadium, to educate supporters on why they are taking this week of action and to provide useful contact details for anyone suffering from mental health problems.

Fundraising efforts are also underway, with the group hoping to normalise discussion of mental health without any stigma attached.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou showed his backing for the campaign earlier this week, in the latest sign of unity between club staff and the support.

One of the big actions taken was the production of a live podcast for North Curve Celtic members, which was also released to the general support.

Guests included ex-professional footballer Andy McLaren, MMA fighter Chris Bungard, Andy “Pingu” – founder of the walk and talk CSC – and founder of the time to tackle mental health football initiative Aaron Connolly.

I would urge everyone to check out that podcast – which is linked here – as well as the Twitter timeline of North Curve Celtic, who have summarised what they’ve been up to this week and why it matters.
