Celtic Park may not have hosted any supporters since early March, but the stadium is still gearing up for the coming season, judging by a recent photo.

The club are in bed with Adidas this season, with their new Hoops merch going down a treat with supporters thus far.

And Celtic Park is also set to receive a boost from the brand – with the reintroduction of the renowned third stripe around the stadium.

Celtic Park had three white stripes around it until 2005 – when the club signed a kit deal with Nike.

But now, judging by a photo from @hevalecraig on Twitter – the third stripe is back in fashion.

This development isn’t a huge surprise. In fact, I wrote about the very topic back in early March, shortly after the Adidas deal was announced.

Go and have a read of that article and praise me for predicting the future if you fancy it.

It’s been six months since crowds were at Celtic Park

All of these historic touches will go down well with supporters.

But nothing will satisfy their craving more than actually getting back to matches.

Our last game with fans at Parkhead was back on March 7th, when we demolished St. Mirren 5-0.

Nobody could have foreseen the following six months of no games with crowds at the stadium.

And sadly it seems like we’re nowhere near out of the woods yet.

At least the three Adidas stripes will be unobstructed in the coming weeks. The manufacturers will be happy about that at least.
