Kyogo Furuhashi has been seen back in training with Celtic in Portugal.
Brendan Rodgers‘ side are in the Algarve as preparations step up ahead of the new season. The team are due to face Portuguese top-flight side Portimonense this evening, although that match will be played behind closed doors.
The team have been training in Portugal since the start of the week, but there had been a couple of players not to feature in the photos and videos shared by the club.
One such star was Kyogo. When he spoke to Celtic TV earlier in the week, it was from an indoor location rather than on the training pitch like his team-mates.
But now our 34-goal hero from last season has returned to action, after being picked up in Celtic’s latest training footage.
Furuhashi is seen around a minute in to the video, kicking a ball around. A few seconds later, he is running alongside Reo Hatate. It’s blink and you’ll miss it stuff, but Kyogo is definitely back in training.

It will be interesting to see if he has any part to play in today’s bounce match.
Later in the video, Rodgers gets his moment in the spotlight as the microphones pick him up instructing his Celtic players.
“Second point I’m saying to you is, coach your mate. When you’re in the game, be a voice,” he says in his unmistakable accent.
It’s not quite ‘Never Stop’ Ange Postecoglou mic’d up levels, but it’s still interesting to hear how Rodgers talks to the players.

Again, it’s short, but it’s still nice to hear him get his moment with the microphone.
Hopefully we get to see more and more of this kind of revealing content over pre-season and beyond.
