Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley is back in training at Lennoxtown this week despite being forced off with an injury against Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday.
O’Riley came into the game on the 62nd minute to replace Tom Rogic is a like-for-like switch. However, the Danish U21 international exited the game just 14 minutes later after picking up a knock.
After the game, Ange Postecoglou suggested he wouldn’t be missing for too long. However, you never know when a player hobbles off. Precautions have turned into problems in the past.

Thankfully, he should be an option for the manager against St Johnstone this weekend after already taking part in training sessions.
In fact, the squad looks in rude health for that Scottish Premiership match with no new injury concerns for the Celtic boss to contend with after the derby.
With Kyogo Furuhashi also closing in on a return, you could argue the squad has never been in as good shape as it is now.
Postecoglou has options in every position on the pitch with the midfield and attacking areas looking particularly strong right now.
That leaves us guessing when it comes to a potential eleven on Saturday but creates a competitive environment at Lennoxtown which should keep every single player sharp.
It really could come down to who applies themselves in training and catches the eye of the manager, rather than Postecoglou being forced into a default selection.
In other news, Eddie Howe praises “incredible” Ange Postecoglou Celtic work as he watches on at what might’ve been.
