Celtic’s pre-season matches against Blackburn Rovers, Legia Warsaw and Norwich City will all be shown live on Premier Sports, the broadcaster announced tonight.

Celtic are playing six pre-season games this summer, with an additional match against Banik Ostrava and two others within an Austrian training camp.

Now it’s known that the two fixtures against the English opponents and the farewell to iconic goalkeeper Artur Boruc vs Legia will be shown on the Premier Sports subscription service.

The news was delivered by host Darrell Currie during half-time of Scotland’s UEFA Nations League fixture away to Armenia this evening.

Celtic also announced earlier that all six matches would also be shown to worldwide subscribers of club channel Celtic TV.

Unknown opponents will face Celtic in Austria on July 6th and 9th, before the club play Banik Ostrava in the Czech Republic on July 13th.

Then the Premier Sports block starts with Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side visiting Paradise on July 16th, the trip to Legia on July 20th and the final fixture at home to Norwich on July 23rd.

Celtic are due to kick off their Scottish Premiership campaign on July 30th, with fixtures due to be announced by the league this Friday.

Sky Sports hold exclusive rights to the top-flight fixtures next term, with Premier Sports retaining rights for the Scottish Cup and League Cup.

Celtic’s UEFA Champions League fixtures will be shown on BT Sport, so there’ll be plenty of money being dished out to broadcasters over the next 12 months to keep up with the action.
