Celtic are looking towards the future by securing their younger players on long-term deals.
Samuel Isiguzo signed a new contract earlier this year, as Brendan Rodgers looks to provide a clear pathway from the B team into the first-team.
In recent weeks we have seen Colby Donovan earn rave reviews after adapting to the demands of the first-team, while Sean McArdle and others have been given chances.
Now, another talent is hoping to follow in their footsteps.
Rhys Dargie signs Celtic contract extension
In a statement on the Celtic website, they confirmed that Rhys Dargie had signed a new contract with the Bhoys.
Dargie signed a professional deal with the club in 2023, but has now extended his stay at the side for a further two years to remain at Parkhead until 2028 after breaking into the Celtic B team.
The statement said: “We are delighted to announce that Rhys Dargie has become the latest young Celt to put pen to paper on an extended deal with the club.
“The winger started the 2025/26 season brightly before picking up an injury, and has earned a new contract with the Hoops, extending his stay a further two years.
“Everyone at Celtic would like to congratulate Rhys, and look forward to seeing him continue his journey at Paradise.”
