Rapid sell-out of two Celtic games as title frenzy hits supporters
It appears that the excitement over a potential Celtic Park title party has swept up the supporters with tickets having been snapped up for the upcoming games against Hearts and Motherwell respectively.
Via Celtic’s e-ticketing platform, there are now no seats available to purchase for the club’s final 2 home games of the season, despite only being made available earlier this afternoon.
The Hoops will tackle the Jambos on May 7th and will wrap up their Premiership campaign a week later against the Fir Park side. And even at this early stage, both games have now sold out.
Celtic only need 2 more wins to secure the Scottish Premiership title back from Rangers. If we emerge victorious in next weekend’s Glasgow derby, it sets up an incredible occasion against Hearts in just under a fortnight.
Excitement levels have rocketed further after Celtic’s 2-0 win against Ross County in Dingwall. Sunday’s success saw the Hoops roar back after question marks over their title bottle were put to them last week [Daily Record].
The Hoops’ only away match between now and the end of the season is a trip to Tannadice to face Dundee United. That match will take place on May 11th – in between the Hearts and Motherwell fixtures.
Excitement building for blockbuster end to the season as Celtic fans sense a party
This is yet more proof of the excitement building around Celtic Park at the moment. The supporters firmly believe this title is coming back to the East End of Glasgow. Sunday’s victory felt like a defining moment given the pressure we were under.
Of course, there is a job still to be done and Ange Postecoglou will know that more than anyone. That’s exactly what he’ll be stressing to his Celtic players at Lennoxtown right now. Any complacency and the players who hold it won’t be anywhere near his matchday squad.
But even so, as supporters, we’re allowed to get a little excited. For Celtic not to win the title from here would require our worst form of the season. Something more than a miracle for rival fans.
Not to mention that Celtic’s home record this season has been absolutely phenomenal. 14 wins and 2 draws sit on our record. You can see why supporters are snapping these tickets up with a huge sense of expectation.
And it makes next weekend’s game against Rangers all the more important. Those who have sold out Parkhead for the Hearts clash will be itching for us to be able to wrap up the title there and then. Not to mention a win against our rivals only boosts the morale and the mood around the Celtic support even more.
It’s all there for the Celtic players to go and achieve. The fans have certainly answered the call as they prepare to celebrate Ange and this wonderful Hoops team.
