Regardless of whether he is a future Celtic manager or not, David Moyes just seems like an incredibly likeable guy.
The West Ham boss was mentioned as a “likely front-runner” to replace Ange Postecoglou at Celtic by the Sun last week.
As we covered on site, Moyes was quick to show his loyalty to the Hammers, insiting that the thoughts of managing Celtic hadn’t even crossed his mind.

Part of that may have been that he had things on his mind — like winning the UEFA Europa Conference League.
West Ham beat Fiorentina 2-1 in Prague last night to lift the trophy, just the second in Moyes‘ entire managerial career.

It was a real touch of class that everyone could relate to.
Asked after it afterwards, he said: “I thought he was the first one that I should get it round his neck.
“He’s probably watched a lot of things over the years and not had that moment.
“I hope he’s enjoying it and I hope he can enjoy it with me later tonight as well.”

David Sr. will have got to enjoy many Celtic trophy lifts over the past decade or so.
If his son was to move north of the border again, he’d probably have a few more medals round his neck too.
Moyes seems an unlikely candidate for the Celtic job though, given his contract situation at West Ham and Wednesday night’s success.
It’s just nice to see one of our former players doing so well.
