Dermot Desmond is said to have an open mind about the identity of the next Celtic manager.
The Hoops are searching for a new boss after Ange Postecoglou joined Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week.
The Australian’s departure hasn’t arrived at the worst time, with Celtic‘s first-team players currently away from the club following the end of the season.

However, the pressure is still on the likes of principal shareholder Desmond and chief executive Michael Nicholson as they try to identify Postecoglou’s successor.
Last night, the Scottish Sun focussed on Desmond in their late-night report.
There was plenty of information about the timeline of the search, much of it echoed by the Daily Record as we covered on site earlier.
One additional finding in the Sun’s report was easy to miss, but important to note.
They wrote: “SunSport understands Dermot Desmond has an open mind as he weighs up a host of candidates.”
That’s a pretty reassuring thing to hear, given that the Celtic board have had a closed mind on occasion in the past.
So could this update open the door for an unfancied name to take the reins? Could an outsider like Andoni Iraola or Pascal Jansen benefit?

The report also suggests that talks are likely to take place in the coming weeks.
We know that Celtic have interviewed candidates in London in the past. So that does seem a likely destination.
The Celtic board will probably have their favourites already, but it seems like their minds are not made upjust yet.
There’s still time for someone to blow them away at the interview stage.
