Celtic are hoping to add some more new faces to the Hoops squad before the transfer window closes in October, the Scottish Sun reports.

The report details that the Hoops ‘expect’ to make at least three more signings following the arrival of David Turnbull on Thursday, and the number of new arrivals could increase depending on who leaves the club.

The report also reveals that Neil Lennon is particularly keen on strengthening the centre-back area of the side.

Hoops eager to move on following defeat

Celtic don’t seem to be resting on their laurels following the midweek 2-1 loss to Ferencvaros. That is not really a shock, as the loss to the Hungarian side could turn into a huge blow if issues with the side are not sorted quickly.

It will be interesting to see what areas of the team the proposed new signings arrive in. The Hoops don’t need any more strikers.

Perhaps a side player to challenge James Forrest will be on the manager’s shopping lost. A left-back to challenge Greg Taylor would also seem like a smart move.

Duo have struggled in early stages of season

The fact that Lennon reportedly wants to strengthen at centre-back isn’t much of a shock. The first-choice duo of Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien have struggled in the early stages of the season.

A new challenge could force the Hoops duo to up their game. It would be no shock to see Celtic try and get a more for Shane Duffy sorted sooner than later.

That would help to get the fans back onside following the Champions League exit.

Celtic can still make this a season to remember despite the loss to Ferencvaros. It should not be forgotten that the main goal is to win 10 in a row.

Some more new arrivals in the next few weeks would make it easier for the Hoops to obtain that goal, and help banish the memories of the Champions League loss.

In other news, some Celtic fans are not pleased with a Hoops duo.
