Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is still looking for potential transfer options in the midfield and forward areas, according to the Daily Record.

It has been a busy summer for the 56-year-old, bringing seven new additions to Parkhead, including the return of familiar loan players from last campaign.

Reports this evening have also suggested the Hoops are edging closer to their eighth new summer signing, with Sead Haksabanovic arriving in Scotland to complete a move from Rubin Kazan.

With just under two weeks left until the Scottish transfer window slams shut, Celtic fans will be starting to provide their thoughts and judgements on how successful the summer business has been.

However, they may want to reserve that judgement for now, with a report from the Daily Record stating that the Celtic manager’s business isn’t quite finished just yet.

The report states that Postecoglou is still looking at potential midfield and striking options as the former Socceroos boss continues to build his squad for the season ahead.

The Hoops face another hectic fixture schedule to come over the next few months. However, this season will be slightly different for Ange Postecoglou and his squad as they prepare to embark upon the Champions League group stages.

So, the Celtic boss will be keen to have as much depth and quality within his squad as possible as the Bhoys get set to take on some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Alongside Champions League duties, the Hoops will be looking to retain their two domestic trophies from last season. and attempt to win back the Scottish Cup.

Ange Postecoglou continues to strive for stronger Celtic squad.

As we approach the final few weeks of the window, Ange Postecoglou has lived up to his promise of dipping back into the market when the right player becomes available with the signing of Haksabanovic.

And it appears that the Celtic manager will look to continue that trend by remaining active in the transfer market, looking at options to add to his midfield and frontline.

Although there is no guarantee of further additions, you just get the feeling that the 56-year-old has another trick up his sleeve.

After seeing the Celtic bench during Sunday’s 2-0 win over Hearts, the Hoops are looking in brilliant shape for the 2022/23 campaign.
