In an ever-evolving story, a report has claimed that Brendan Rodgers is expected to add two names to his Celtic backroom team.
The Irishman has yet to formally accept the offer to take over the club for a second spell but it has been reported that there is an agreement in principle in place.
As 67 Hail Hail discussed earlier, Rodgers is said to have already been in discussions with potential candidates and a report from The Sun has claimed Jack Lyons and Glen Driscoll.

Lyons served as Celtic’s opposition scout under Rodgers after the then-Celtic manager became interested in his online blog about the Hoops and invited Lyons to the team’s training ground. He was offered a job at Celtic after impressing Rodgers.
Lyons then went to Leicester with Rodgers in 2019. Interestingly, Lyons has been credited as having a major hand in the development of Foxes midfielder, James Maddison. [Leicester Mercury]
Glen Driscoll has a long history of working with Brendan Rodgers. He spent nine years at Chelsea dealing with areas of performance, fitness and conditioning, physiotherapy and injury prevention before teaming up with Rodgers at Celtic in his first spell as the Celtic manager.

He specialises mainly on injury avoidance and performance enhancement through physiotherapy. Rodgers took Driscoll with him down to Leicester and it seems that he is ready to take him back to Glasgow as part of his backroom team once again.
No doubt there will be more names mentioned in the coming days but it does seem certain now that with the current rumours, it’s a case of when and not if Brendan Rodgers becomes the next Celtic manager.
