Reports are circulating that Celtic are confident Brendan Rodgers will accept the offer to become the Celtic boss for a second spell this week.
Following talks yesterday, Rodgers will go home and discuss the possibility of moving to Glasgow again with his wife and family. Reports suggesting that Leeds United are set to make a move for the Irishman are also wide of the mark.
But it seems that a decision may have already been made. The Daily Mail report that the Rodgers has already begun to make moves to assemble his backroom team.

Rodgers is thought to be in discussions with potential candidates but as yet, no names have been mentioned.
It does seem though that his trusted assistant, Chris Davies may not be joining Rodgers as he has expressed a desire to go it alone. In a bizarre twist, Davies has also been reported as a possible candidate to join Ange Postecolgou at Spurs. [The Telegraph]

So where does John Kennedy fit in with all of this? The current Celtic assistant manager is keen on moving to Tottenham to join his former boss. But it seems that Celtic have already initiated talks to persuade Kennedy to stay at Parkhead.
Having worked under Rodgers previously, the two enjoyed a close spell at Celtic and Rodgers did tip the former Celtic defender to become the manager one day.
Whether Kennedy can be tempted to stay on for another spell at the club is anyone’s guess but having worked under Rodgers previously, the 39-year-old may well fancy rekindling the partnership that delivered a Double Treble and an Invincibles season.
