Nicolas Kuhn’s performance in Celtic’s win over Livingston was the winger’s best display in the green and white Hoops since his £3m January move.
The former Rapid Vienna man‘s Celtic career has been going in fits and starts and it seemed that after his goalscoring debut against Aberdeen, Brendan Rodgers might have unearthed a gem.
However, since then Kuhn has struggled to get going with Hyunjun Yang being preferred in the right-hand flank of late.
However, with Yang currently serving a suspension due to his Tynecastle red card, Kuhn got his chance yesterday and Viaplay matchday commentator, Rob McLean was blown away with his performance.
McLean said [Viaplay Sports], “Nicolas Kuhn will be growing in confidence with each passing minute in this game. It’s been a stuttering start to his Celtic career since he scored up at Pittodrie coming off the bench.
“But he’s looked the real deal here.”
Nicolas Kuhn must now kick on for Celtic
The German now needs to build on his Livingston performance and find some consistency. Especially when he is taking on defenders.
With nine games left of the Scottish Premiership, Celtic need all their attacking players to be bang on form.

For Kuhn, he now needs to start showing the qualities that Brendan Rodgers highlighted yesterday and show that he is strong enough to take the weight of the Celtic jersey.
Because he should be under no illusions. As this title race draws to a close, the Celtic fans will be looking to their attacking players to help kill off games early and put some real pressure on Rangers who are just two points clear at the top of the table.
The jersey is Kuhn’s now. He just needs to put together more good performances to show that he is worthy of keeping it.
