Robert Snodgrass has admitted to wearing Celtic shorts while training for Rangers.
Robert Snodgrass revealed whilst speaking with talkSPORT host Alan Brazil that he used to wear the shorts of Celtic’s most iconic away kit, the bumblebee, everyday to training.
Snodgrass also spoke of how during his youth career he played for Celtic and Rangers, before breaking through at Livingston.
Snodgrass said: [talkSPORT], “I was at Rangers Boys Club and I was in at Celtic, then Blackburn Rovers tried to take us down there when I was a young kid.
“When I went to Rangers, the actual pro-team, I used to wear the old Celtic bumblebee shorts under the Rangers shorts.
“It wasn’t a dig at them – it was just the only shorts I had – they were my brothers shorts. Looking back it was a good time getting into Rangers, Celtic, Hamilton and other teams.”
Snodgrass is currently without a club having been released by Hearts in April. Snodgrass also previously played for English sides Leeds, West Ham, Aston Villa, and West Brom.

Over the years the Glasgow-born midfielder has admitted his love for Celtic and was previously linked with a loan move to the Bhoys back in October 2020, although Celtic was said not to be interested in the move.
Snodgrass also made the shocking revelation that Barcelona had once tried to sign him when he was playing for Scotland at youth level.
He said: We played for Under-17s at Scotland, a tournament at La Masia, then they (Barcelona) contacted the club and all that stuff.
“Obviously I told my family, but you tell your family, a typical East End family and then all of a sudden everybody in Glasgow knows! It was everywhere.
“But it didn’t materialise, I don’t know for which strange reason.”
The Scottish winger made 28 starts for the Scottish national team in his international career scoring seven goals.
Snodgrass has certainly had a respectable career in England and was fortunate to never get his dream move to Celtic Park, but at 36 years old, it looks unlikely that he will ever get to achieve his dream.
