Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie will hopefully be reclaiming his spot against Lazio on Thursday.
Christie had to sit out in the weekend win at home to Ross County as he was suspended. The Scotland national was in need of a break and his time away was at the perfect moment.
Tom Rogic may have filled in for a surprising 90 minutes on Saturday but there’s no shifting Christie permanently.
Ryan Christie will be in for Celtic against Lazio
The Hoops buzzbomb is the ideal player for Neil Lennon’s side on Thursday.

He will press and run about as well as cause problems offensively as well.
Lazio are a well drilled outfit with a lot of European pedigree and Christie is best placed to handle that. The batteries are now recharged and Christie will be looking to avenge his suspension from the weekend with a top performance.
Christie is already a top scorer this season but the match against Livingston before the break showed his vulnerability. He regrets his decision to get sent off but hopefully this is the last time he will be seeing red.

Celtic are needing Christie’s ability and drive but also the goals that he brings as well.
If he eyes a move to a top club in future, then Thursday is where he shows Europe what he can do.
Scottish star better in place than Tom Rogic
Rogic is someone who will be disappointed to be dropping out for the game on Thursday. He lasted his first 90 minutes in god knows how long since his return from lengthy injury.

The Australian international had a good performance but it’s clear that Christie brings more to the table.
There are still concern over Rogic’s fitness as well as getting into the physical side of the game. Whereas there are no doubts with Christie who will run through a brick wall for The Bhoys.
This Sunday is perhaps where Rogic can shine as he always does up in Aberdeen. However, for Thursday’s joust with the Italians, it’s got to be Christie that Lennon goes with.
