Celtic have gone five for five so far in their opening domestic fixtures and look to be in a strong position to continue their success from last season.
Brendan Rodgers’ men are yet to concede a single goal in the league and equalled a long-standing 118-year-old clean sheet record last weekend by keeping out Heart of Midlothian on home soil.
Kilmarnock, Hibernian, St Mirren, Rangers and the Jambos have all tried to breach the Irishman’s backline. However, Celtic have used attack as the best form of defence to quell their opponents.
Scoring 14 times in their five Scottish Premiership matches, plus another three on cup duty against Hibernian, the Bhoys are in fine fettle heading into a congested run of encounters.

Scott Brown has received a first-class education regarding his former manager’s meticulous work and has shed some light on why Celtic have started the new campaign in dominant fashion.
Scott Brown on Brendan Rodgers and Celtic
Speaking on the Scottish Football Social Club, Brown believes that Rodgers’ insistence on players looking after themselves on a daily basis has contributed to Celtic’s current status as a ‘class above’ everyone else in Scottish football.
He stated: “They’ve been excellent. Obviously, (they’ve) not conceded a goal in the league. Dominated games, Brendan’s always wanted to play possession-based football, but he’s got a drive to make sure every single player gets better, they work hard, they look after themselves.
“You can see, it’s proven the case yet again, Celtic look a class above everybody else in the league, whether they’re playing Rangers, Hearts, they dominate games and that’s what’s exciting about watching them at this moment in time.
“The players they’ve brought in hopefully enhance the squad and can hopefully enhance the squad in the Champions League as well because the hardest thing in football is to go from the Champions League back to the SPFL because there is a big drop, and especially (with) how hard the lads work as well in the Champions League games.”
Celtic will be determined keep winning at any cost
Last weekend, supporters saw that Celtic aren’t always going to find it straightforward to bulldoze opponents.
Hearts came with a game plan to frustrate and carried that out relatively well, but the Bhoys refused to overthink the task at hand, believing in their philosophy and eventually getting their reward.
That will be the challenge once the fixture schedule intensifies. Nevertheless, it is clear the squad depth is there to deal with difficult league matches over the coming months.
