All Celtic and Rangers eyes will be on Fir Park this Saturday for a possible Premiership decider.
Motherwell host Aberdeen in the best of the rest showdown. The match is equally important to both sides of the Glasgow divide, however.
Whoever wins that will be breathing down the necks of whoever is second in the table.
Celtic and Rangers will be watching Scottish Premiership tussle
Both the Glasgow teams are pulling away from the pack in Scotland.
Although this usually happens, there is always one team that are close to keeping up.
For the last few years it has been Derek McInnes’ Aberdeen that have caused an upset or two. But, this season, the Dons are not at the races which can be attributed to a few injuries. Whereas Motherwell are flying out the traps and are three points from Celtic in second.
If Motherwell win, they will be in touching distance if any of the Glasgow two lose their match at the weekend.
Could Scotland have a different third force to look out for come Sunday night after all the games are done?
Celtic and Rangers will probably be rooting for Aberdeen who are further down the table.
However, Celtic more than anyone need to make sure that the three points are picked up against Ross County.
Glasgow successes over both sides
Celtic and Rangers have one win over Motherwell and Aberdeen. The Hoops are yet to play Aberdeen while Rangers are waiting to play Motherwell this season.
Celtic got over the line at Fir Park despite and early scare while Rangers thrashed the weakened Dons at Ibrox.
So far, the potential third placed sides aren’t laying a glove on the Glasgow giants.
However, Motherwell in particular, are performing against the other teams in the league. But for a silly home defeat from being in front against Ross County, Motherwell would be challenging Celtic.
The Well’s game against Aberdeen could be so important in the make up of how the league will finish. Especially with the pressure on the second placed side to be top and not to drop to third.
