Former Rangers defender Sergio Porrini believes Parkhead is vital to Celtic getting a result against Lazio.

The pair square off tonight in a vital Europa League clash. The winner could be topping the group after 10pm tonight which makes the game vitally important.

Porrini is another Ibrox star who is coming out and speaking in favour of the Italian side.

He believes this will be key to Celtic getting any sort of result against his fellow countrymen.

Despite being Milan born and bred, Porrini thinks Lazio will escape Glasgow with a 1-2 victory.

He told LaLazioSiamonoi: “The atmosphere will certainly be warm. The stadium is important, with 60,000 spectators and always full.

“Lazio will find something beautiful, because when you have Parkhead in front of you, as well as being stimulating for the home team, it also becomes one for the opposing one.

“In Scotland they have the desire to show that not only their championship exists, but that they can also have their say in Europe.”

The game is a sell out at Celtic Park tonight and the Hoops faithful will be cheering them on. Those fortunate enough to be in attendance will need to let their appearance count with noise.

The 50-year-old is also saying that Lazio are more than on paper star man Ciro Immobile. The attacker netted two penalties in a 3-3 comeback at the weekend against Atalanta.

Porrini is picking out Jaoquin Correa who is returning from injury as a key man. Furthermore, another player to watch is Serbian international midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Those three names should be enough for Hoops fans to fear the quality through the spine of the Lazio team. Neil Lennon must make sure his players are fully concentrated for 90 minutes or they could do some damage.
