SFA share class Scottish Cup footage; watch two big Celtic moments

The Celtic fans have been looking forward to the Scottish Cup Final ever since the final whistle blew against Rangers in the semi-final last month.

That meant a world record treble was on as the league cup was already in the cabinet and the league title was all but over as Ange Postecoglou’s men held a healthy lead at the top of the table.

To whet our appetite for the upcoming showpiece event, the SFA posted all of Celtic’s goals in the run-up to the final and the footage reminds us of two moments that the Celtic fans will see as key to our season this year.

The first moment for me was Hyeongyu Oh opening his scoring account for the club in the 5-1 win over St Mirren at Celtic Park.

It was vital that the young striker got his first goal for the club sooner rather than later. Playing second fiddle to Kyogo Furuhashi meant that his minutes on the pitch were limited and he had to take full advantage of them whenever he got the chance.

That goal set him up to score a further seven goals this season to produce an impressive scoring rate of a goal every 105 minutes prior to his double against Aberdeen last week.

And how can we forget the iconic Jota goal celebration in front of the Rangers fans in the semi-final at Hampden?

The calamitous mistake by the Ibrox defence allowed Daizen Maeda in to nick the ball and cross for the Portuguese winger to head home what was, eventually, the winning goal.

And what bettered the goal? The celebration at the Rangers end. Class from Jota as he gave the Celtic fans a moment they will never forget. Let’s hope he can give us another on Saturday to help bring the cup home to Paradise.
