Could yesterday have been a major turning point for Celtic in the title race? For too long now the team have been placid and lacking aggression and it seems that those key components could have returned for Brendan Rodgers yesterday.
In the first 45 minutes against Motherwell, it looked like it was going to be the same old story for Rodgers as his team huffed and puffed but couldn’t find a way to blow Stuart Kettlewell‘s men down.
In fact, The Steelmen looked the more likely to score in the opening period of the game and they got a deserved goal after a sublime piece of skill by Lennon Miller opened up space for Blair Spittal to fire past the helpless Joe Hart.
But as soon as Adam Idah was brought into the equation the game immediately turned as the Republic of Ireland international’s double helped secure a vital three points for Celtic in the title race.
Adam Idah receives Celtic acclaim
The 23-year-year-old striker was over the moon with his double and on Instagram, he posted the following message to the Celtic supporters:
“Enjoyed today. Massive thank you to the away end!“
The message was well received by teammates past and present as Shane Duffy and Luis Palma shared their admiration for the youngster.

Palma’s message translated means ‘Brother’ and it’s clear both players have a tight bond forming in the short space of time Idah has been at the club.
We told yesterday how the on-loan Norwich has been left shocked at what it’s like to play for Celtic. The Irishman, however, is really starting to find his feet at the club.
With four goals in five appearances so far, this is the second time this season Idah has dug Celtic out of a hole and from the picture above, it seems like the Hoops support are really loving the new Bhoy.
