Celtic should consider bringing back young stopper Ross Doohan after Scott Bain picked up an injury in the Champions League defeat to Cluj.
Doohan is impressing on loan in the Scottish Championship with Ayr United.
However, the shock injury and little back-up may force Celtic to consider a recall for the youngster.
The only thing preventing the emergency return would be the current transfer window being open.
Scott Bain injury hands Ross Doohan a chance?
Celtic’s goalkeeping situation has been pretty simple over the last couple of years.

Bain or Craig Gordon are fighting it out for the Hoops number one spot. Gordon prevailed for years before Bain took over.
Game time hasn’t presented itself to Doohan who was on loan at Ian McCall’s side last season. They got so far at the top before the rails came off and Ross County prevailed.
Doohan is back in Ayrshire for another loan move but Bain’s move may change this scenario.
It’s unknown how long Bain is out for, with the Scottish Sun claiming it could be two months. But would the club go to the transfer market for a limited injury?

Doohan will want to become a regular and show fans what he’s got.
Perhaps this is the perfect storm to allow the Scotland youth international a shot at glory.
Who can Celtic buy in the transfer market?
The Bhoys can go and buy someone if they believe he will improve the team.
Lennon can go back for Fraser Forster who is out of favour still at Southampton.

Staying down south, Artur Boruc is another option that the fans would adore but his age is a turn off.
Sticking in Scotland, Ofir Marciano showed last season that he is a force to be reckoned with. However, the hammering last weekend to Rangers may show that he is on a downward spiral.
It’ll be interesting to see what Lennon and coach Stevie Woods come up with in the coming days.
If a goalkeeper is to be brought in, he must be of serious quality – nothing more.
