Si Ferry has made his most passionate case yet for Celtic to hire Jens Berthel Askou.
The Motherwell boss got the nation talking again this weekend, dealing a sucker punch to Rangers with a 3-2 win at Ibrox.
Askou has been linked with the upcoming Celtic vacancy for more than just his results at Fir Park, however. Their style of football has been praised as the most sophisticated in the country.
For Ferry, the Parkhead hierarchy couldn’t have an easier decision to make.

Si Ferry tells Celtic Jens Berthel Askou is ‘right in front of them’
Speaking about their win at Ibrox on Open Goal, Ferry said: “Forget Rangers for two minutes… Motherwell.
“For a Motherwell team to go to Ibrox and play that way… if he doesn’t get the Celtic job, the full place needs to be cleared out.

“It’s there in front of you! This guy can do this with Motherwell at Ibrox! Celtic haven’t done that at Ibrox for years, dominating like that.
“Paul, what else does this guy need to do?
Asked if he’s ever seen anything like it in Scotland aside from Ange Postecoglou at Celtic, Darren O’Dea weighed in on the conversation.
He said: “No, [I haven’t seen anything like it]. It’s very, very good.
“Anyone can play football. It’s the fact that they went, the motion side of it. The way they got pegged back and went again.
“I think if you’d have performed like that at Ibrox, and you drew the game, you’d get a bit of a pat on the back. Ultimately, he’s getting things over the line, where they’re winning games.
“It’s all about winning, but he’s doing it in a style. I just look at the players, and I know some of the players. And I’m like, ‘this is a good coach’.”
Jens Berthel Askou to Celtic: do you see it happening?

The Fir Park boss hasn’t made any noise about his Motherwell future, but the media certainly has.
Charlie Mulgrew has given Askou a rousing endorsement, saying that his football would be ‘perfect’ for the Scottish champions.
Frank McAvennie has also urged Celtic to appoint Askou, saying that he would be the one to take the Hoops to the next level.
Asked about who will be leading Celtic this August, Tom English saw him as the favourite, describing the appointment as a ‘no-brainer’.
Even Chris Sutton is sold on Askou – and he is not an easy man to please.
