Celtic will be on the lookout for a new manager in the summer.
After getting the Wilfried Nancy appointment horribly wrong, you sense the next man through the door is going to be more of a proven performer or well-known to the Celtic supporters.
Over the years, Jose Mourinho has been tipped to become Celtic boss, but he is currently working his magic with Benfica, and there are suggestions he could become available in the summer.
But that’s not the road Si Ferry wants the Hoops to go down, as he championed Motherwell manager, Jens Berthel Askou.

Celtic told to appoint Jens Berthel Askou as their next manager over Jose Mourinho
Many believe that fourth-placed Motherwell are playing the best football in Scotland this season, and it has resulted in Askou getting plaudits left, right and centre.
Speaking on Open Goal, Ferry stated that it’s ‘refreshing’ to see a manager coming from outside of Scotland and ‘dominating games of football.’
Only recently, ten-man Motherwell drew with Rangers, with Celtic loanee Stephen Welsh scoring a late goal, to prove the power and quality they possess with the ball.
That’s one of many reasons why Ferry wants the Danish coach in the famous green and white colours next season when Celtic look for a new coach.
Ferry, who was in Celtic’s academy as a youngster, even told Open Goal that he would prefer Askou over the great entertainer, Mourinho.
Si Ferry: “It’s so refreshing to see a manager coming here and dominating games of football.”
Derek Ferguson: “Will he still be here (next season)?”
Ferry: “No. See if Celtic don’t take this guy, it will be the biggest mistake in the club’s history.”
James McFadden sarcastically states: “I think he’s still unknown. I think he still needs to prove himself for another three seasons.”
Ferry: “See, there is talk of Mourinho and all that. Forget that. Get this guy in.”
