Everything has gone downhill for Hearts and Derek McInnes ever since Celtic won the Premiership title on the last day of the season.
From crying back to Tynecastle after Celtic became champions, and then losing captain Lawrence Shankland to Rangers.
What a few weeks it has been for the Jambos!
But amid the cries around Hearts’ complaints about officiating, fans celebrating Celtic winning the title, or anything they can think of, Simon Jordan laid it down for Hearts and McInnes by stating that they ‘choked’ when it mattered most in the title race.
“They should have dealt with Motherwell on the Saturday before,” said Jordan. “They had to go to Celtic Park. We can argue, and I know it’s mean-spirited of me. But we can argue that Hearts choked here.”
Name Celtic’s best and worst player this season…🤔🤨🍀

Simon Jordan questions whether Derek McInnes can challenge Celtic for the title next season
When Celtic won at Fir Park, at the same time, Hearts had beaten Falkirk, and McInnes was asked about that penalty in his post-match interview.
He labelled it as ‘disgusting’ at the time, and he was pretty vocal about it all.
Speaking on talkSPORT, after Celtic won the domestic double, Jordan brought it up and questioned whether McInnes is the guy to help Hearts challenge the champions of Scotland again next season.
One word that has constantly been used about the recently concluded campaign is ‘chaotic.’
But Jordan just can’t see the same issues rearing their ugly head again at Parkhead or Ibrox next season, as he feels normal service will resume.
“Is there not the suggestion that Hearts have missed the boat?” said Jordan. “You are not going to get a season where Rangers and Celtic are going to be so disorganised in such chaos, in such disharmony.
“You have Russell Martin, and the pillorying of him. Then you have Wilfried Nancy coming in after Martin. Then Martin did the hokey cokey, left foot in and left foot out. He’s there, and he’s not.
“Celtic and Rangers are going to be better next year. Irrespective of what Hearts do. They are now coming up against potentially better Celtic and Rangers. Then around and around we go with the standard orthodoxy.
On Hearts being here to ‘stay’ and battle for the title: “With this manager (McInnes)?” asked Jordan.
“With this manager? I tell you why because Hearts did it to themselves. They should have dealt with Motherwell on the Saturday before. They had to go to Celtic Park.
“We can argue, and I know it’s mean-spirited of me. But we can argue that Hearts choked here. That’s on the manager, because he was very vociferous after the Celtic-Motherwell game, with the penalty and how disgusting a decision it was, so and so forth.
“But Hearts didn’t do their job when the big moments came. Away to Motherwell on the weekend before the game against Celtic. And at Celtic Park. I know it’s difficult, but you have to have that in your locker.”
