Celtic fans are used to having their fixtures moved around to fit in with the broadcasters’ plans.
Being Scotland’s most successful club and the current champions, the interest around Celtic’s fixtures is always at the top of Sky and Premier Sport’s lists.
With Celtic’s defence of the Scottish Premiership well underway, Hearts’ challenge at the top of the table plus Rangers’ struggles have certainly piqued the interests of the satellite broadcaster.
So much so that Sky Sports and the SPFL have re-jigged 10 SPFL fixtures with Celtic taking up three of those changes with the Parkhead support getting a first-ever experience due to the schedule change.

St Mirren vs Celtic given first-ever 8pm Saturday night spot
Celtic’s home fixture with St Mirren has been rescheduled to give supporters their first-ever taste of Saturday night football.
The clash on the 22nd of November has been switched to 8pm as Sky Sports add more Scottish Premiership games to its TV fixture schedule.
Celtic have never kicked-off at this time on a Saturday and the 8pm time is a first-ever for the Parkhead club as announced by the SPFL.
Hibs vs Celtic on the 22nd of November has been switched to a 12pm slot as has Dundee United vs Celtic which will now be played on December 17th at 8pm.
Previous Celtic night time fixture change resulted in iconic win vs Rangers
The last time Celtic had an unusual kick-off time it was against Rangers back in 2022. The 7:45pm midweek start was not strange in itself, but for a Glasgow Derby, it certainly was not normal.
Celtic faced Rangers in the top-of-the-table clash in February 2022 knowing that a win would take them to the top of the league for the first time that season.
And the night-time scheduling certainly didn’t disappoint as the Celtic Park crowd delivered a crackling atmosphere that inspired the 3-0 rout of Rangers by Ange Postecoglou’s Bhoys.
Let’s remind ourselves of that iconic win:
Even watching that back considering it happened over three-and-a-half years ago is still spine-tingling for Celtic supporters.
