Sky Sports have this afternoon confirmed a further three Celtic fixtures that will be broadcast during the month of October.
At the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign, there has been a lot of talk and criticism surrounding Sky Sports and their current TV deal, with talks ongoing surrounding a potential renewal.
So far, three of Celtic’s five league outings have been broadcast on Scottish Football’s TV provider, including the season opener against Aberdeen and trips to take on Kilmarnock and Dundee United.

However, supporters have also had to face a TV blackout for the Bhoys’ away visit to Ross County, with no way to watch Ange Postecoglou’s side in action during their 3-1 win in Dingwall.
It appears that won’t be an issue fans will have to worry about for the foreseeable future, though, with it being announced earlier in the week that the Hoops trip to St Mirren in September would be shown live on Sky.
This afternoon, Sky Sports confirmed further amendments to the fixtures set to take place in October after selecting their TV games in the Scottish Premiership for next month.
Ange Postecoglou’s side faces a busy schedule in October, with nine games in 30 days, three of which will be shown on Sky Sports.
The Bhoys’ visits to take on St Johnstone, Hearts and Livingston have all been moved to be broadcast on television. The confirmed dates of all three fixtures are:
- Saturday, October 8: St Johnstone vs Celtic, kick-off 12.30 pm
- Saturday October 22: Hearts vs Celtic, kick-off 12.30 pm
- Sunday, October 30: Livingston vs Celtic, kick-off 12 pm

All three games come during a tough run of fixtures, with Champions League outings against RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk squeezed in between.
October should prove to be a challenging but exciting month for Ange Postecoglou’s side, and those 30 days could help shape the Hoops season across three different competitions.
Venues such as Tynecastle and Almondvale have proved difficult hunting grounds in the past, but in recent times this Celtic squad have shown they are more than capable of picking up all three points on the road.
Thankfully, supporters will be able to watch the Bhoys live in action and will be hoping that we can keep up our strong start to the season by the time these fixtures roll around next month.
