It was a good night in the Scottish Premiership from a Celtic point of view as Brendan Rodgers continued his unbeaten start to the league with a win over Dundee.
Celtic pressed and probed a dogged Dundee as the visitors dug in to go in at the break still even with the Scottish champions.
However, Brendan Rodgers made three quick changes that turned the game around and Celtic eventually ran out comfortable winners beating Dundee 2-0 to remain top of the Scottish Premiership table.
But there was another game going on last night as Rangers travelled to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen. The Ibrox club lost the game 2-1 and sit nine points adrift at the top which led to Chris Sutton telling a few home truths about Philippe Clement’s team and Celtic.
Chris Sutton says it’s not just Celtic who are ’embarrassing’ Rangers
With the league title race looking beyond Rangers now, Sutton was speaking post-match at Pittodrie when he said Aberdeen are now ’embarrassing’ Rangers, not just Celtic.
Sutton told Sky Sports, “I expect Rangers fans to be very, very angry and I mean they’re probably lucky that the bus is going to arrive back really late at Ibrox this evening. But there may still be fans hanging around. I’ve said before after the Celtic game when there were fans hanging around there.
“Rangers fans will be enraged. I mean, not only are they being embarrassed by Celtic this season but Aberdeen, they hate Aberdeen, and they’re embarrassing them.
“That’s the truth, you smile, but that’s the long and the short of it. It’s about having high standards. But what’s more baffling to me is he just keeps having these mad rants this season.
“And I don’t think you can trust this guy. So I think Rangers need to make the change and they need to make it as as soon as possible and have a new voice him.
“But as I say, I don’t think it’s easy because they let him get his own way at the start of the season. But he should never have signed a new contract at the start of the season.”
The comment earned a smile from Sky Sports presenter Eilidh Barbour but I bet there were a few Celtic fans smiling as well.
How the Scottish Premiership table looks after Celtic beat Dundee and Rangers lose to Aberdeen
Celtics remain at the top of the league in first place with 28 points but have also increased their goal difference over Aberdeen after last night’s win.

Aberdeen remain second on the same number of points but 15 goals worse off than the current Scottish Champions.

Rangers remain in third nine points and 19 goals behind Celtic and just three points ahead of fourth-placed Motherwell who, ironically, the Ibrox club face in their next fixture.
Remarkably, Rangers are closer to Ross County in eighth place than they are to Celtic and Aberdeen in the league.
Sutton was correct, it’s not just Celtic who are embarrassing Rangers.
