Celtic boss Neil Lennon had some good news on the injury front for Hoops fans in his pre Glasgow derby press conference on Friday afternoon.
The Hoops boss confirmed, as reported by STV’s Ronnie Charters on Twitter, that Albian Ajeti has recovered from his hamstring injury and is fit and available for selection.
Albian Ajeti is fit having trained last couple of days.
Edouard will be assessed but couldn’t do any training whilst self-isolation.
Griffiths also training and in contention.

The news is particularly good when you consider that Odsonne Edouard hasn’t been able to train during his period of self-isolation, which you have to think could make it hard for him to start the game.
However, Ajeti is available. Neil Lennon will be strongly thinking about giving the player his first ever start in a Glasgow derby.
In good form prior to injury
Ajeti was in very good form prior to his injury. He had scored five goals, and had displayed some excellent predatory striker’s instinct. However, his chances of featuring in the derby looked remote when he suffered a hamstring problem vs Hibernian. It is really good to see that he has overcome that obstacle.
The fact that Leigh Griffiths is also available for the game could complicate matters, but in a good way. Celtic now have two players fit and available for the game who know exactly where the back of the net is.
Excellent timing for the club
Will Neil Lennon start both players? That’s perhaps unlikely. However, it is excellent timing for Celtic that the options are available. Not just for the derby, but for the other games ahead, such as Milan in the Europa League and the double header vs Aberdeen.
Unsurprisingly, some Celtic fans on Twitter were delighted with the news that Ajeti is available for the derby. One fan said it was the best news he would hear all day. Another was hopeful that Ajeti and Edouard would rekindle their partnership from earlier on in the season.
No matter who starts up-front for Celtic, it is great news that Ajeti is back. Hopefully his goalscoring instincts kick in, and he helps the Hoops to the top of the league.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Ajeti’s return to fitness:
