Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster has potentially saved his side’s blushes away at Copenhagen.

The Scottish champions were dominant during the first half and some parts of the second.

However, the turning point was perhaps Forster’s massive save to keep the score level.

His second half stop has sent the Hoops faithful crazy on Twitter with some fans wanting him signed permanently.

He made a standard stop in the first half from Bryan Oviedo but had nothing more to do.

The Englishman was helpless for Dame N’Doye’s equaliser in the second 45.

Forster did prove his worth when he pulled off a fingertip stop against Jens Stage’s penalty.

Other than that there wasn’t any big chance for Forster to intervene on despite Copenhagen’s late dominance.

He perhaps kept The Bhoys in the tie though with the biggest save of the match despite his opposite number’s heroics.

This was another penalty stop for La Gran Muralla after a few in the league this season.

But, he will know himself that he will need to put in a stellar 90 minutes next week in the home leg.

Some Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react to Forster and his tie saving penalty save.

The Celtic fans seem wholly convinced of Forster’s qualities since he returned on loan last summer.

It will cost the Celts big money to take him permanently from Southampton in a few months.

However, with big saves like the penalty, Forster gets the all important results for his team.
