Celtic’s Jeremie Frimpong took to Twitter on Friday night to reveal a new look ahead of Sunday’s trip to Kilmarnock. The Hoops full-back showed off his new haircut, which was warmly applauded by some Celtic fans on social media.

Interestingly, Frimpong’s upcoming visit to Rugby Park will be the first time he has played at the stadium since he suffered a bad injury following a challenge by Alan Power in the match between the teams back in January.

First visit to Rugby Park since injury

The fixture will no doubt be another test for Frimpong, as he returns to the scene of the injury. However, he has handled everything he has faced at Celtic so far in his stride, and you would not expect him to be phased by the return to Rugby Park.

He has started the season well, scoring in the win over Hamilton last week, and it would be fitting if he marked his return to Kilmarnock with a goal.

Now onto the important issues, and Frimpong’s new haircut. Is that a story worth considering? Yes, as after all, the player has commented on it.

Player’s ability lauded by fans

Some Celtic fans have also commented on the player’s new look, whilst also lauding his ability as a player. One fan on Twitter went as far as to call him a ‘superstar’. It might be a bit early for that, but Frimpong has certainly started his Celtic career in style.
