The Green Brigade will return to Celtic Park tonight after missing out on last week’s Europa League clash against Rennes.

The fans group were part of the 13 row closure of the standing section during the win against the French Cup champions. The club imposed the measure, saying that they “need to tackle” issues such as “the use of pyrotechnics, overcrowding and offensive chanting or banners.” (BBC)

Some feared that the section would also be closed for tonight’s league game against Hamilton Accies, while there was also talk of tickets being held back for Sunday’s Betfred Cup final against Rangers.

But that has all apparently been cleared up as the North Curve, the full standing section, took to Twitter to inform supporters of the development.

And the wider Celtic support are seemingly lapping up the news. The tweet has nearly 3,000 likes at the time of writing while there were also hundreds of positive comments to please the Green Brigade. Here are some of the best of them.

The Green Brigade and Celtic are coming together at just the right time

Yesterday, we brought you the news that three key first-team players had returned to training ahead of Sunday’s game against Rangers. While news of Edouard, Elyounoussi and Bolingoli being back is of course brilliant, there’s an argument that today’s development is just as important.

Make no mistake about it, the Green Brigade set the tone for a lot of what the Celtic support do on matchdays. Having them in place at Hampden is going to be a massive boost to everyone of a green persuasion, as we aim to put our rivals to the sword again.

But first things first, the atmosphere at Celtic Park tonight will receive a real boost. Here’s to another three points and hopefully a few goals.

They say good news comes in threes. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
