Ange Postecoglou has been confirmed as the new Tottenham Hotspur manager. The former Celtic boss will sign a four-year deal at the London club and will officially join them on the 1st of July as per the Tottenham Hotspur official website.
After over a week of intense speculation surrounding his future, Postecoglou becomes the first-ever Australian to manage in the English Premier League. The former Celtic manager takes over a side that finished a disappointing eighth place in the league and has no European football to look forward to next summer.
Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy said, “Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play.

“He has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy – everything that is important to our Club. We are excited to have Ange join us as we prepare for the season ahead.”
There was no mention of John Kennedy or Gavin Strachan in the statement, both of whom could potentially join Postecoglou per reports, but Spurs have said that they are set to name Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff ‘in due course’.
The confirmation brings an end to a frantic 48 hours for the Celtic fans. Now that the deal is concluded the club now has the arduous task of replacing a manager that has brought so much joy to the Celtic family.
