St. Mirren may have lost their last two fixtures against Celtic by a 9-1 aggregate scoreline, but their manager Stephen Robinson reckons there are still positives to take.
The Paisley side are the only Scottish team to have beaten Ange Postecoglou‘s all-conquering machine this season.
But that 2-0 triumph in September was followed by 4-0 and 5-1 losses at Celtic Park in subsequent months.

Robinson believes the latter scoreline, in a Scottish Cup tie, was particularly harsh.
“The scoreline in the last game reflects that it was a massacre of sorts but it wasn’t,” he said, as reported by the BBC.
“For 76 minutes we were very competitive and were 1-0 down and then went down to 10 men.
“We pressed them really well and took the ball off them at times and we were right at the top of our game for that period of time, the same as with the game at home.
“The players played right at the top of their game and deserved their win and they have to do the exact same again.
“It has been three games where we have caused them problems, three games where it has been very tight and sometimes it has been incredible play and great finishing that has beat us because they are very clinical.
Robinson does have a point regarding the last meeting between the sides.
St. Mirren are one of the better sides to visit Celtic Park this season, and the game was still a contest before we netted four goals in the final 15 minutes.

But the reality is that the game still finished 5-1, and that is the power this Celtic team has late on in matches.
Celtic haven’t actually won, or even scored, in Paisley under Ange Postecoglou, so we’re going for a first this weekend.
Our only visit to St. Mirren last season finished goalless, while our 2-0 defeat earlier this campaign stung a lot at the time.
But this Celtic team are flying and should have the bit between their teeth come noon on Sunday.
It’s a big game.
