Nothing in football should surprise you, and the Celtic fans have certainly learnt that over the course of the weekend.
In Scotland, it might be a goldfish bowl of a divided city in Glasgow, as Celtic and Rangers fight it out for the top honours decade after decade, but one thing the supporters have been used to is very little change at the top.
As Stan Collymore recently shared, even though the pressure is so intense at Celtic, they have only had 20 managers in their rich and trophy-laden 127-year history.
But it’s a different story in the big money league of the English Premier League, where chopping and changing is as normal as changing a baby’s nappy.
And now Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou is the latest victim to fall foul of the Premier League axe.

Alan Shearer sums it up perfectly after Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou is sacked by Tottenham
Daniel Levy has sacked managers – Mauricio Pochettino – months after the Champions League final. Managers, one week before a cup final – Jose Mourinho.
And now, Spurs have booted out Postecoglou, despite the London club, who had gone nearly two decades without a trophy, winning the Europa League last month in Bilbao.
When the news broke, Alan Shearer couldn’t have put it better, as he shared this short but perfect response that everyone in Celtic colours will agree with.
‘What a stupid game football is!!!!,’ wrote Shearer on social media.
Brendan Rodgers’ contract situation at Celtic following Postecoglou’s exit
You presume Postecoglou is now going to put his feet up and enjoy himself. He delivered on the promise of winning a trophy in his second season.
But where next for the Greek-born Australian, and could a return to Celtic be on the cards?
Brendan Rodgers’ contract expires at the end of next season, and you wonder if he will sign on the dotted line after securing the double during the recently concluded season.
If the Northern Irishman decides to call it a day, the Celtic Park faithful will understand, and if Postecoglou is still out of a job, then he is more than welcome back.
At the end of the day, Celtic love a comeback, just look at Jota, Rodgers, and Kieran Tierney, to name a few, so why not Postecoglou?!
