Celtic fans want Kasper Schmeichel replaced

Away from managerial issues, there are players who haven’t been up to standard. Kasper Schmeichel is one of those.

Chris Sutton thinks Schmeichel is unfit, while a number of Hoops fans have claimed that the 39-year-old needs to be replaced in the January transfer window.

“Kasper shouldn’t be near the Celtic first team, he’s past it,” commented one fan.

Martin O’Neill has returned

After the sacking of Wilfried Nancy, the bat signal was sent up and Martin O’Neill returned to the Hoops for a third time.

O’Neill will be at Celtic for the remainder of the season and has been tasked with dethroning Hearts at the top of the table, as well as competing in Europe.

It seems that fans are confident, with many believing that the Hoops legend can win the league.

One person commented: “Yes they can, if he galvanises the team and gets them organised. There is no reason he can’t do the double, but he needs a proven striker, a CB and midfield enforcer to help him. Celtic are now in very capable hands.”

Another stated: “St Martin certainly gives Celtic a better chance of winning the league. His positive managerial manner and his experience will make Hearts have to win all games to succeed.”

What Celtic fans would do if they were on the board

No topic galvanises Celtic fans more than speaking of their disdain for the board.

Supporters have protested against the board, with those efforts amplified as results turned sour under Nancy.

They have been calling for change within the current regime so that a more modernised approach can be implemented.

67 Hail Hail laid out a five-point plan for how they would change things up, while supporters named what they would do if they were on the Celtic board.

A supporter said: “I would try to get rid of Dermot Desmond as all this started when he failed to spend money to strengthen the squad for Europe.”

This fan commented: “I would try to vote Dermot out by getting other Directors and the Celtic Collective to use their votes together. Once gone I would get rid of daddy boy Ross.”
