Celtic icon Ange Postecoglou is still looking for work after being let go by Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season.
Postecoglou created history at Spurs as he became the first manager to win the Premier League club their first-ever European trophy.
Despite that phenomenal achievement, Spurs still relieved the former Celtic boss of his duties from the London club.
But now, it seems, Celtic icon Postecoglou could be on the brink of a stunning return to the English top flight.

Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou’s link to Nottingham Forest branded ‘impossible’
Jeff Stelling reacted to the rumour by branding Postecoglou’s return to the Premier League via Forest as ‘impossible’.
Stelling told talkSPORT, “Nuno has been absolutely excellent for Forest, hasn’t he and good for the game as well.
“He talks well, he’s a character, I like him a lot. By the way, Ange Postecoglou, he’s been linked with the job if Nuno leaves.
“That’s impossible, isn’t it, because of the contrast between the style of football that Nuno plays and the style of football that Postecoglou favours.”
Ally McCoist says ‘nothing is impossible’ at ex-Celtic boss’ Forest link
Ally McCoist took a different view on the rumour and said that whilst he believed Postecoglou could be in with a chance of the Forest job, the former Celtic boss would be a ‘dramatic change’ for the Premier League strugglers.
McCoist replied, “Nothing is impossible. Come on. Nothing is impossible. But clearly, because of what’s happened and because of Nuno’s comments, there’s a train of thought that there’s too much water under the bridge.
“I think they can heal the wounds and heal the rift, I don’t have any doubt about that.
“But because there’s doubt over his future, a few names will get thrown up, as they normally do, Ange would obviously be one of them to come into the equation.
“I think you’re absolutely spot on in your assessment. It would be a dramatic change in style for the Forest players and the Forest team.”
Postecoglou has been snapped on social media enjoying a well-deserved break this summer.
Would the former Celtic manager be willing to risk it all for a Premier League relegation battle?
That doesn’t seem like the sort of job Postecoglou would be the right fit for. Let’s hope that wherever the Australian ends up, it will be at a club that appreciates him like the Celtic supporters did.
