The 12 Celtic players heading off on international duty before derby – unexpected absence

Ange Postecoglou is sending 12 Celtic players off on international duty around the world over the next 10 days or so – but it seems Tom Rogic won’t be one of them.

Celtic published their list of those leaving Lennoxtown this afternoon.

As expected Daizen Maeda wasn’t on it after he pulled out of the Japan squad this morning.

However, Rogic, who picked up an ankle knock on Saturday is also absent meaning he has potentially pulled out of the Australia squad too. That’s a serious blow for them.

After the match against Ross County, Ange Postecoglou told 67 Hail Hail he didn’t think Rogic’s injury was “too bad” but that he hadn’t assessed him post-match, just at half-time.

The Australian was on the receiving end of a shocking challenge from Kayne Ramsay, who received a straight red card from referee Don Robertson.

Hopefully any injury is not serious enough to keep him out of Celtic action.

Elsewhere, Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor will both join up with the Scotland squad for friendlies against Poland and the losers of Wales vs Austria.
