Celtic Park will see the champions crowned this weekend, with Callum McGregor set to hold the league championship trophy aloft.
It’s been a sensational Premiership season for the Hoops, regardless of recent form, and we’re all going to have a massive party on Saturday.
As well as the trophy, medals will be handed out to Celtic‘s title-winning stars. But not everyone who has featured will receive one.
SPFL rule C39 states that players must have participated in 25% or more of league matches to be eligible for a medal. This equates to at least 10 league appearances.
The club receive 25 medals in total, for players, staff and officials, but they can buy more from the SPFL.

But Welsh and McCarthy won’t be picking up one this time around. They are both well short of the required amount. (Transfermarkt.co.uk)
Tomoki Iwata has just crept over the line in recent weeks but his compatriot Yuki Kobayashi hasn’t made the cut either.
Rocco Vata, Ben Summers, Ben Siegrist, Scott Bain and the departed duo Oliver Abildgaard and Yosuke Ideguchi are some of the others who won’t receive a medal.
As we covered recently, Josip Juranovic, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Moritz Jenz are all in line to receive medals.
Regardless of the situation, it should be a great afternoon as we round off another successful league campaign.
A big performance and result would be very welcome too ahead of the Scottish Cup final.
