The New Year Glasgow Derby is almost upon us and Celtic fans learn how many Rangers supporters will be allowed in the stadium.
Since the away ticket allocation ban was lifted, Celtic fans have visited Ibrox once and Rangers supporters have had the same privilege.
Whilst the ban has been lifted, the number of tickets has been nothing like both sets of supporters were used to in the pre-Brendan Rodgers Celtic era.
How many tickets Celtic should offer Rangers for the Glagow Derby? Were you happy with zero? Let us know in the comments.
And it seems that trend is set to continue as the Rangers Supporters Liaison Officer revealed how many tickets Celtic have given the Ibrox club for the upcoming Glasgow Derby.

Rangers receive less than 5% of Celtic Park capacity for Glasgow Derby
With the title looking like it might go to the wire this season largely down to Celtic being so poor and Hearts enjoying a decent start to the season, the Rangers derby could be crucial.
And here, the ticket allocation was spelled out by the Ibrox SLO in a message on social media.
The Rangers SLO took to X and said, “Emails have been sent to those who were successful in the ballot for Parkhead. Over 3,270 supporters registered for the club’s allocation of 2,362.”
Just under 2400 tickets have been made available to the travelling Ibrox support, which is a far cry from the 7500 they used to receive when allocations were a lot healthier.
That may please plenty of Celtic supporters but do the allocations both clubs offer diminish from the atmosphere of these great games?
The SPFL rule on ticket allocations ahead of Celtic vs Rangers game
The SPFL don’t really help the situation with their ruling on how many tickets SPFL clubs should offer visiting away teams.
Section I27 of the SPFL rulebook states, “The Home club must make provision for the admission of such reasonable number of visiting supporters at every home League Match and Play-Off Match as may be
agreed in advance with the Visiting Club.”
A ‘reasonable number of tickets’ is vague and subjective and allows clubs to set any number that they wish.
The overall away ticket allocation across all clubs in Scotland is scandalous and the governing body should tackle this head on as it’s only the fans who are suffering.
