Celtic need to recruit heavily next month if Wilfried Nancy is to rescue his job, never mind the season.

The knives are out for the Celtic manager after results against St Mirren, Hearts and Roma have left him exposed to all sorts of criticism this week.

Nancy’s time at the club has been fraught with negativity as the media embarked on a hatchet job on the Celtic manager right from the off.

However, new players are what Nancy needs and one target has been told that he must join Celtic if he wants to play in the English Premier League.

Palestine manager tells Wessam Abou Ali to join Celtic

Palestine manager Ihab Abu Jazar has revealed how he has tried his best to convince Wessam Abou Ali to join Celtic in the January window.

Celtic were linked to Abou Ali earlier this season and Jazar has made his feelings perfectly clear on where he sees the Palestine striker’s future.

Jazar said in the Daily Record, “Wessam Abou Ali has a number of offers during the current period and I advised him to move to Europe.

“He’s received great interest from Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia and Al Ahly in Egypt wanted to bring him back to their club. But I told him to accept the offer from Celtic in Scotland.

“His abilities make him very suitable for European leagues and after a year or two at Celtic, I expect we would see him in the English Premier League.

Wilfried Nancy needs more than just a striker at Celtic

Nancy’s playing style has proved that Celtic need more than just a striker.

The Celtic manager’s insistence of playing a 3-4-3 formation means that at least two wingbacks, another number 10 and at least another striker will be required, as well as another creative midfielder.

Nancy would do well to identify targets right away but for now, he needs to ensure he wins his next three games or he might not even see the January transfer window.
