The Green Brigade had something to say about next week’s derby at Ibrox on an afternoon to forget at Celtic Park.
Two Premiership points were dropped at home to St. Johnstone as Celtic failed to win or score for the second successive match. It’s the first time we’ve gone two games in-a-row without a goal since March 2022.
There weren’t many plus points during a match which ended with audible boos from a disgruntled home support.
With a visit to Rangers up next, not too many Celtic supporters will be feeling hopeful of a return to winning ways next weekend, at this stage at least.
We won’t have any supporters at Ibrox next Sunday — something we have covered comprehensively on the site in recent times.
At today’s game, the Green Brigade ultras made a statement of their own. Midway through the second-half, they held up a display in the stadium’s North Curve which read: “They killed their club. They’re killing the derby. Bring back old allocations.”

On an afternoon that offered little in the way of excitement, the display did at least get a generous reaction inside the stadium, before some songs about our rivals were aired.
The ultras are right to make their feelings clear. Celtic don’t seem keen to make any public statements themselves, so it’s good to at least have something on the record.
The players will need to massively up their levels in Govan next Sunday.
