The interesting Glasgow inspiration as another new Celtic kit is launched

Celtic have launched yet another new kit this morning.

So far this summer we’ve seen a controversial green-and-white hooped home shirt and a slick looking all-black away number unveiled and released to the public.

Celtic have even worn the former in a couple of friendly matches. But now they are stepping things up further.

On Tuesday morning they launched the ‘2023/24 adidas x Celtic Third Kit’ with a tweet and promo video.

It’s a smart looking dark green and grey mixed shirt, with light green coloured details. It follows a similar colour scheme to the club’s training range that was unveiled last week.

The club made the announcement on Twitter at just after 8am, with the caption giving some insight in to the inspiration for the kit.

“From Glasgow to you,” it read. “Inspired by the bright, vibrant lights of our city’s famous music scene.”

It’s an interesting inspiration and certainly a route that we can’t remember the club going down in the past. Perhaps it’ll look best under the lights.

Given the theme, it was perhaps no surprise to see rising star Bemz feature in the club’s promo video alongside the likes of Tomoki Iwata and Alexandro Bernabei.

The kit is a neat one and could well get an outing away to St. Mirren if last season is anything to go by.

It is available to pre-order now with the launch date on Tuesday 1 August.
