The Marco Tilio Celtic experience will step up a gear today as he meets the media for the first time.

The Socceroo was signed last Friday, joining from Melbourne City on a five-year deal. (Celtic)

Tilio has already shared a long-distance call with Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers, but things are about to get a whole lot more interesting.

The speedy attacker has made the 10,000 mile trip to Scotland and will meet the media for the first time later today.

Tilio has commitments with Celtic fan media too, while photographs will also be taken care of at the Celtic Park event.

It will be interesting to hear what our latest signing has to say, and what he feels he can bring to the party this season.

Tilio doesn’t seem like a shrinking violet if his comments following some Lionel Messi-based controversy are anything to go by.

He seems like a fiery character who will not back down on or off the pitch.

Given that he is now safely in Scotland, you would assume that he will be in to training at Lennoxtown pretty soon.

Celtic’s international stars are still to return after their summer break so he shouldn’t have missed too much.

He last played in the A-League Men Grand Final on the same day we clinched the Scottish Cup, so his fitness levels should be at a similar level to his new team-mates.
