Read MoreThe new Celtic fan song paying tribute to Ange, Abada and Kyogo that got an airing last night
Celtic supporters love a new song. It goes with the territory when players and managers arrive at the club.
Ultras group Bhoys have managed to include three new arrivals in the one tune, neatly packed into a chant inspired by Scooter. You may have heard it last night if you were at the win over Jablonec.
Kyogo song lyrics
We’ve got Abada, he’s on the wing,
We’ve got Kyogo, he’s doing his thing,
Ange is the leader,
We’ll follow the Celtic all over the world.
It’s set to “Jumping All Over The World” by Scooter [YouTube] which in turn samples 1970s anthem “Glass Of Champagne” by Sailor.
You may remember another classic Celtic chant inspired by Scooter, the beautiful, magical Scott Sinclair one that was very popular during his time at the club.
It remains to be seen whether this one will capture the imagination of the wider support like that did.
If it’s going to be taken on, it likely needs away supporters back on the road watching Celtic. That’s always the environment these speculative songs become ‘hits’ with the rest of the fans or not. Either that, or a video will have to go viral on social media!
Still, it’s a decent effort that at least gets the ball rolling on a song for Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi and Ange Postecoglou, all of whom have the potential to be adored by the Celtic support moving forward.
If fans are looking for something specific to Kyogo, then they need not look any further than Vissel Kobe, who had their own dedicated chant for the goalscoring hero which you can see on Twitter.
In other news, new Celtic unique angle video captures brilliant second half moment last night.
